Hi all -

Ben is a friend from Oregon who is part of the Joyscouts and we see at
OODE each year! Ben is wonderfully happy person and always a joy to
see. I'm very sad to hear about this right now, as Ben and I shared a
very special moment at OODE reflecting and James and how special he was
to our communities. Please help out if you can - it would certainly
mean a lot to his family and to him.

I just got off the phone with my Mom--Ben Beekman was in a fire
yesterday morning and is now on life support at Emanuel Hospital in
Portland. 40% of his body is severely burned and he will require
extensive surgeries to recover. More details can be found here:

George and Susan Beekman, Ben's parents, need our help, support and
prayers. They would like to get the word out about Ben's situation
to all of his friends. Ben's medical insurance will *not* fully cover
the expenses of the life support or surgeries that he will require in
